*I accept Paypal; please pay in USD. :)
*The default holding time is 3 days unless specified.
*Serious buyers please, but don't hesitate to ask!
*I will not be held responsible if your items get lost/damaged during shipping!
*I am able to ship worldwide in addition to domestic!

Ahh! Just buying doujin (despite it raking through my funds) makes me so happy I can't even speakkkkkk!

If I send payment via gift, you won't have to pay Paypal fees, right? That's the least I could do ;A;////

I was using Rinkya for my latest shipment because their commission is free for 1000 yen and under auctions, but commission rates skyrocket to $20 for auctions and shop orders past 1000 yen, and you're limited to Fedex. /whimpers/ I occasionally use SMJ, but they've a flat $6 commission for auctions up to 3000 yen, I believe orz; Ah, deputies.

Sol's actually a friend of mine xD I literally bought so many things off of her we just started talking on a fairly regular basis outside of shopping. Her GO's still on pending, though, and the other deputy I use does a 400 yen flat commission up to 3000 yen and 700 yen commission for orders 3001 to 9999, so at least there's that? xD

/ahhhh sorry! I'm just excitable now! Thank you again!

PAIDDDDDDDDDDDDD! I noticed that we're both Asian, ahhh~! /annoying

I do the same, gods. I'm better now (and earn more now, I can't believe I was this fanatic at one point), but at the height of my doujin frenzy I was shelling out hundreds every few weeks and buying out all the LJ sellers on what limited income I was making and not saving even a little. /falls over/

But, doujinshi. I'm not even materialistic with makeup or clothing--just books. Doujinshi and books and artbooks /weeps. I'm so glad I don't actively collect merchandise.

Ship at your leisureeeee~

And it's per item, that $20 commiss fee. Not even joking. Rinkya does deal with a lot of my inane requests, so I do like them, but they're really, really pricey. Above Celga-pricey. And don't bid on Mbok (I use SMJ for that, and SMJ has dealt with a lot of my shite, too orz;;;; /irresponsible/ And given me a lot of shite for it, too /sigh/). I ordered Shiki from Toranoana using Rinkya, which is 899 yen--and they charged me $31. Not including shipping to the United States. And their online system was buggy--they were transitioning from an older layout to a newer bidding and search system (that works great, actually), and I was planning on bidding on cheap auctions then slowly getting them shipped. Their original hold policy was 3 months starting from when they received the package--and then, all of the sudden, it was two months, and a lot of my packages were suddenly NEED TO SHIP NOW VIA FEDEX FOR $30 A PIECE, etc. without notice and no explanation until I emailed in a frenzy. And then a buttload of my auctions arrived at their warehouse and they badgered me to get it shipped out--and I paid ~$30 for 8 doujinshi to be shipped for the first batch :| And then they quoted me over $300 for the rest, which they wanted out of the warehouse immediately because they were suddenly overdue. And then they charged me handling fees for larger packages that were an extra $2-$14 per package. And they wouldn't work out a shipping payment plan despite charging me over $300 for Fedex EMS (it was that, or mail by sea for 2-3 months for ~$270, or Rinkya priority for ~$300+, the eff, as if that's a choice)--until I emailed both the invoice and shipping department because it's on their website that this is an option I can request. And then I was charged an additional 10% of the shipping invoice to use Paypal to pay the shipping invoices over the course of four months because I make minimum wage and didn't expect this all at once. It's. Just. A. Nightmare. But I do love Fedex--just not at that price. (Rinkya does package well, though, even if they're payment sharks.) The carefully planned 'spend $30 every two weeks to have doujinshi shipped to me' ended up being 'forced to have all my packages shipped to me at once after paying for the shipping invoice over four months time and haggling for the payment plan for more than the doujinshi are worth.' However, I did buy over 64 pounds of doujinshi (around 270 individual books), even though they charged me for over 66 pounds in shipping...

/long rant about Rinkya being decent in customer service and willing to work with me, but only after haggling and network bugs and paying on time for everything and the expensive shipping being basically EMS

Hirmoi of Kolektakon is the guy I use--and he really is amazing (even if he uses way too much packaging) :) He won't bid on mbok because it's subscription, but he'll help me buy almost everywhere else. I love sol, but I do have to watch my wallet...

NO IT'S NOT STALKERISH BECAUSE I JUST DID SO. AND IF IT IS I DON'T MIND ♥

Answered~

Several hundred dollars |D I mostly bought from western fandom, but often couldn't find what I was looking for and eventually went to deputies. But western fandom back in the heydays of Hetalia (~2009-2010) priced doujinshi for that fandom very high. I know of sellers who were based in Japan (not dropping names, here) that priced Hoshitamago's anthologies at $90-130 a piece. There was literally no control that would bring down pricing. You would have popular artists' (mostly for USUK) doujin being priced at least $25-50 or 60 a piece, depending on page count and illustrations, without shipping.

/really fond and terrible memories

/so it wasn't really hard to spend over a hundred dollars on doujinshi in a week. That was, like, four doujin plus shipping. I'm literally swamped in doujin right now because I never sell, oops. Everything I sold now would be at a huge loss xD

But doujinshi are like graphic novels--they're read over and over again! It's an activity, not just for display~! (...In fact, I would not display most of the doujin I own.)

The payment plan was something I really had to push for, trust me, but it was there. If you ask nicely enough, they'll push back payment time for you (or ask for a deposit, but they charge a fee for that...), but you really have to be on top of your own purchases--otherwise, fees, fees, fees. And some miscommunication between me and customer service and the shipping department and just lots of clarifying emails... It was ~$343 total to ship all that, ahaha, sigh. It actually was probably ~$400 for all the doujin I got xD Only a good 20 pounds were actually copybon, many of which were given out for free during the actual conventions. If only I could just fly there myself and get to be more choosy, a~ha!

/but I don't consider myself a very sophisticated collector

/all my doujin are overflowing onto stocks on my bedroom floor because every inch has been used /going to organize all this sooner or later, I hope ;u;a
